Day 40

Chamartin Train Station Madrid, Spain 9:46pm 7-30-10

We are waiting for our train to Lisbon. Today we woke up and had some sweet bread for breakfast. We packed up camp and got together some stuff that we no longer need to send home. When we checked out and as we were leaving a woman gave us her Madrid Metro ticket with five trips still on it! We got on the mettro and headed for Puerto Del Sol again. I finshed Dubliners by a fountain so we could send it back also and then took our bag of stuff and went to the post office. It´s going to be well worth it to not have to carry the extra weight. We walked toward the music shop we had gone into yesterday and on the way found a candy shop and got some ice-cream and sweets. The music shop was closed so we found a park to read and sleep at. We had an early dinner at McDonald´s then headed back to the music shop. Troy decided not to get the guitar and we made our way to the train station. We are just waiting to see what platform we are at and then we are off to Portugal!
