Day 43

Guincho Campground 9:15 PM 8-2-10

Windy windy days. At least no mosqwuitoes, but we are having trouble keeping sand out of our tent. Yesterday was a lounge around day, we really didn't do too much. We read and slept and ate and then walked to McDonald's for dinner. Today we wanted to go into Cascais so we got up and were ready to catch the bus at 10am. We got there, walked around a bit, and found neat little foot traffic shopping areas. It's a very beach town feel. We had lunch at Pizza Hut, turns out Cheeseham is exactly what it sounds like, but really good pizza. We headed farther towards the beach and found an old fort and some beautiful houses. We walked around a bit more and got some snacks at the grocery store before catching the bus back.

We met a woman from Houston traveling by herself. She gave us some hints about Lisbon and we gave her some about Barcelona. We got back to camp and read, then headed to the cafe and ate. There's not much to do because it's so so windy. We're in the tent now, Troy's playing guitar and I'm trying to finish Jude the Obscure.
